Ingredients list for Green Gram Sundal
- 1/2 cup Whole Green Gram soaked
- 2-3 tablespoons Fresh Coconut
- 1 Dried red chilli
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 8-10 Curry leaves
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
- 3/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Oil
Method
- Drain and pressure cook moong with 1 cup water and salt for 1-2 whistles. Heat oil in a non stick pan.
- Chop red chilli and remove seeds.
Chop green chillies and curry leaves. - Add asafoetida, urad dal and mustard seedsto the pan and saute till dal turns a light brown.
Add red chilli and curry leaves. - Drain moong and add to the pan.
Add green chillies and mix well. - Add salt and coconut and mix.
Cook till dry.
Serve hot.
