Ingredients list for Garlic Knots - SK Khazana
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 2 cups + 2 teaspoons Refined flour (maida)
- 2 teaspoons Milk powder
- 2 teaspoons Fresh yeast
- 2 teaspoons Castor sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespo Butter
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley chopped
- to grease Oil
- for brushi Milk
Method
- Mix together flour and milk powder in a large mixing bowl. Add yeast, castor sugar and some water and let the yeast activate.
- Add salt and sufficient water and knead into a soft dough. Add 2 tablespoons butter and knead again. Set aside to prove for 30-40 minutes.
- Knock back the dough, divide into 8 equal portions and shape into balls.
- Mix together parmesan cheese, garlic, garlic powder, parsley and 2 teaspoons butter in a bowl.
- Roll out dough balls into medium sized thick discs, place a spoonful of cheese mixture in the centre, roll into cylinders and shape into knots.
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Grease a baking tray with some oil and place the prepared garlic knots on it. Set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
- Brush the knots with some milk, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Brush with some butter and serve hot.
