Ingredients
- 2 boneless fish fillets
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon mustard sauce
- ½ tablespoon refined flour
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon black olives, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Dried breadcrumbs for coating
Method
- Cut fish fillets into thick strips and put them in a bowl. Add salt, lemon juice, egg, mustard sauce and flour and mix well.
- To make the dip, mix together onions, olives, parsley, crushed peppercorns, salt and mayonnaise in another bowl. Transfer the dip into a serving bowl.
- Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.
- Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Coat the fish pieces with it, gently slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Transfer them into a serving bowl and serve hot with the prepared dip.
