Ingredients list for Eggless Chocolate Cake
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon Flax seeds powdered
- 1 cup Refined flour
- 1/2 cup Butter softened
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180° C.
- To replace an egg, take flax seed powder in a bowl, add 3 tbsps water, mix well and set aside to thicken.
- Till then take butter in a mixing bowl, and beat well with an electric beater. Add vanilla essence, powdered sugar and flax seed paste and beat with the electric beater till the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Sieve together flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder into the bowl. Add buttermilk and fold in till all the ingredients are well mixed. Transfer the mixture into a silicone mould placed on a baking tray and tap gently to remove any air bubbles. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from heat, cool and demould. Slice, place them on a serving platter and serve.
