Ingredients list for Dum aloo
- 1 packet Baby potatoes, peeled
- 3 tablespo Oil
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 4 Cloves
- 2 Bay leaves
- 8 Peppercorns
- 4 Green cardamoms
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 1 large Tomato, chopped
- 1/4 cup Onion paste
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala
- to taste Salt
- 2 cup Yogurt, whisked
Method
- Prick the potatoes and deep fry them till golden.
- Drain and remove on absorbent paper.Heat oil in a non stick pan, add onion, ginger garlic paste, cloves, bay leaf, peppercorns, cardamoms and cinnamon stick. Saute till brown.
- Add chopped tomato, onion paste and little water. Mix well and allow the mixture to boil.Add garam masala, salt and curd. Toss well add ½ cup water and fried potatoes.Cook on low heat till gravy thickens.
- Serve hot.
