Ingredients list for Dhingri Matar

  • 400 grams Fresh button mushrooms quartered
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 3 medium Onions chopped
  • 2 medium Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt whisked
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add ginger paste, garlic paste and sauté for two minutes.
  2. Add onions and sauté for another two minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
  3. Add the tomatoes and cook on high heat for four to five minutes or until the tomatoes are completely cooked.
  4. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and cook for another two minutes.
  5. Add the mushrooms and green peas and cook for five to seven minutes or until the vegetables are cooked.
  6. Add the whisked yogurt and cook for another minute. Remove from heat.
  7. Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
