By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Dates, Walnuts Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Date & Walnut Cookies 1/4 cup Dates chopped 1/4 cup Walnuts chopped 3/4 cup + to grease White butter 3/4 cup Sugar 1 cup Refined flour 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda 2 Eggs 50 millilitres Milk 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence 2 teaspoons Chocolate chips Method Preheat the oven to 180° C Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add sugar and stir till both the butter and sugar melt and combine well. Sieve flour, baking soda and baking powder into a bowl. Transfer the sugar-butter mixture into a large mixing bowl, break in an egg in the bowl and add a 1 tbsp flour mixture, and mix well. Break in the remaining egg and repeat the process. Take walnuts and dates in another bowl, add a little flour mixture and mix. Add the remaining flour mixture to the sugar-butter-egg mixture and mix well. Add the walnuts and dates and mix well. Add milk and mix. Add vanilla essence, mix well to make a smooth lump free batter. Add chocolate chips and mix. Grease a baking dish with butter. Pour the prepared batter in this dish, keep it in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes. Take it out of the oven and cut into squares. Set aside to cool down to room temperature.
