Ingredients
- 1 cup broken wheat
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 5-6 seedless dates, soaked for 1 hour
- 1 tablespoon cashew nut powder
- 2-3 tablespoons honey
- 1 apple medium
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Method
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add broken wheat, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add 4 cups water, mix, cover the cooker and cook under pressure till 4-5 whistles are released. Open the cooker once the pressure is reduced completely.
- Keep the cooker back on the heat, add seedless dates, cashew nut powder and honey and blend to a coarse mixture with an electric hand blender.
- Add milk mix well and cook for a minute on medium heat.
Transfer into serving bowls. Top up with apple, garnish with mint sprig and serve warm.
