Ingredients list for Badam Doodh - SK Khazana
- 1 1/4 cups Almonds
- 8 cups Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- a large pi to sprinkle Saffron
- for garnishing Almond slivers
Method
- Blanch, drain, peel and blend almonds to a smooth paste with some water.
- Heat milk in a thick-bottomed vessel and bring to a boil. Simmer on medium heat till the milk reduces and thickens slightly.
- Add almond paste, sugar, nutmeg powder, cardamom powder and saffron, mix well and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Pour into individual glasses, sprinkle cardamom powder, garnish with almond slivers and saffron and serve hot.
