Ingredients list for Dal Kababi
- 1 cup Skinless Split Black Gram soaked
- 200 grams Chicken Mince minced
- 4 tablespoons Oil
- to taste Salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Green chillies chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Yogurt
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan Add salt, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp garam masala powder, ½ tsp chopped green chillies, yogurt, ½ tbsp ginger-garlic paste to minced chicken and mix well.
Marinate for 15 minutes. - Add caraway seeds, onions, remaining green chillies to the oil in the pan and sauté till lightly browned.
Add remaining ginger-garlic paste and mix. - Add turmeric powder, remaining red chilli powder and tomato and sauté.
Divide minced chicken mixture into marble sized balls. - Drain urad dal and add to the pan along with 2 cups water, salt, remaining garam masala powder, coriander leaves and mix.
Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. - Add chicken balls and cover.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on high heat. - Reduce heat to medium and cook till both dal and chicken is completely cooked.
Add more water if the mixture is too thick. - Serve hot with lemon wedges.
