Ingredient
- ¾ cup white butter
 - ¾ cup sugar
 - 1 cup refined flour
 - ¼ teaspoon baking powder
 - ¼ teaspoon baking soda
 - 2 eggs
 - ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
 - ¼ cup dates, chopped
 - 50 ml milk
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
 - 2 teaspoon chocolate chips
 - Butter for greasing
 
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan, add butter and sugar. Stir and mix till both melt and combine well.
 - In a separate bowl, add flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix well together and sieve.
 - Transfer the sugar butter mixture into a glass bowl, break in the egg in the bowl and mix it along with a few spoons of the flour mix, repeat the process with the other egg as well.
 - Once the eggs are combined well, add in the rest of the flour mixture in portions.
 - Mix the walnuts and dates in the last portion of flour mixture, add this to the egg batter and combine well.
 - Add milk and vanilla essence, mix well to make a smooth lump free batter. Add chocolate chips and mix.
 - Grease the baking dish, pour the prepared batter in the dish and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180˚ C for 30-40 minutes.
