Ingredients list for Crispy Fried Chicken
- 8 Chicken drumsticks
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black peppercorns crushed
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 3/4 cup Yogurt
- to deep fry Oil
- 3/4 cup Refined flour
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
- 1 teaspoon Dried herbs
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 1 cup Cornflakes
- to serve Tomato ketchup
Method
- Make incisions all around the chicken drumsticks and place them in a bowl. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and ginger-garlic paste, mix well and set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Take yogurt in a large bowl, add 1½ cups water and whisk till well combined. Add this mixture to the chicken, mix well and set aside to marinate for 25-30 minutes more.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Take refined flour on a plate, add rice flour, salt, crushed black peppercorns, dried herbs and red chilli flakes and mix well. Crush and add cornflakes and mix well.
- Roll each chicken drumstick in the flour mixture till they are well coated on all sides. Slide them into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them on a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
