Ingredients for Creamy Garlic Potatoes-Cook Smart Recipe

  • Medium potatoes peeled 4-5

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Spring onion bulbs with stems 4

  • Black peppercorns crushed 1 teaspoon for garnishing

  • Garlic cloves 3

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Cut potatoes into small cubes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add chopped garlic and potatoes and mix well. Add salt and mix well.

Step 3

Add 1 cup milk, mix well, cover and cook.

Step 4

Cut spring onion bulbs into small cubes. Add them to the pan, mix well, cover and cook, stirring often so that the milk does not burn.

Step 5

Chop the spring onion stems into thin roundels.

Step 6

Add half the chopped spring onion stems and 1 teaspoon crushed peppercorns. Mix well, cover and cook on low heat till the potatoes are completely done.

Step 7

Crush the garlic cloves and add to the pan along with butter, mix well and cook for a minute.

Step 8

Serve hot garnished with crushed peppercorns and remaining spring onion stems.
