Ingredients list for Creamy Chicken Toast
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 Boneless chicken breasts boiled and shredded
- 2 tablespoons White bread slices
- 8-10 Garlic cloves chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Crushed black peppercorns
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 1 tablespoon Dried mixed herbs
- 3/4 cup Processed cheese grated
- 2 tablespo Fresh parsley chopped
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Place bread slices on a baking tray, put in the oven and toast them till crisp. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Heat butter in a non-stick wok. Add garlic and sauté well. Add refined flour and sauté till the flour is cooked.
- Add milk gradually stirring continuously.
- Add chicken, salt, crushed peppercorns, chilli flakes, mixed herbs and mix well.
- Add half the grated cheese, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley and mix well. Remove from heat and place in a bowl.
- Spread the cooked chicken mixture evenly onto toasted bread slices. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top and put on a baking tray. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5-10 minutes or till the cheese melts.
- Remove from heat, cut into triangles, garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
