Ingredients
- 1 medium carrot, boiled and grated
- 15-20 French Beans, blanched and chopped
- 1/2 cup American corn kernels, boiled
- 1/2 cup green capsicum, chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons refined flour
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and chopped
- 4 bread slices
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 cup grated processed cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Heat butter in a non stick pan. Add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add refined flour and mix well. Cook for half minute.
- Add, carrots, French beans, corn kernels and capsicum and mix.
- Add two cups of water and whisk well so that no lumps are formed.
- Add salt, pepper, potatoes and mix well. Allow to thicken. Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool.
- Grind bread slices, green chillies, salt and pepper to a coarse powder.
- Transfer half of the vegetable mixture in the baking dish. Sprinkle half of the bread – green chilli mixture followed by half of the cheese evenly.
- Repeat this procedure till all the ingredients are used up.
- Bake in preheated oven for fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Serve hot.
