Ingredients list for Chocolate Sevaiyaan
- 100 grams Vermicelli roasted
- 3 tablespoons Chocolate Powder malted
- 1/2 cup Chocolate grated
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
- 5 cups Milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- a few strands Saffron (kesar)
- 2 tablespoons Raisins
- 3 tablespoons Chironji
- 4 tablespoons Sugar
Method
- Heat 2 tbsps ghee in a non-stick pan. Lightly crush the vermicelli and add to the pan and saute for 2-3 minutes or till they turn light golden.
- Add milk and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add green cardamom powder, saffron, chocolate powder and grated chocolate to the milk.
- Heat the remaining ghee in another non-stick pan.
- Add raisins and chironji and sauté lightly. Add this mixture to the kheer. Add sugar and mix well. Cook till the sugar dissolves. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
