Ingredients list for Chicken Tikka Puff Cups
- 250 grams Chicken Tikka readymade, cut into small pieces
- for dusting Refined flour (maida) 1 teaspoon +
- 400 grams puff pastry dough
- 1 Egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ¼ cup Fresh cream
- ½ teaspoon Chaat masala
- to garnish coriander leaves chopped, 1 teaspoon +
Method
- Preheat oven to180° C.
- Dust the worktop with some flour. Place the dough on it and roll out into 1 inch thick sheet.
- Cut out 8 roundels with a large cookie cutter. Place a smaller cookie cutter in the center of 4 roundels and cut to give them a doughnut shape.
- Place the 4 solid roundels on a baking tray. Apply water along their edges, place the 4 doughnut shaped roundels over them and press along the edges to seal.
- Brush with beaten egg, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onion, mix and sauté till the onion turns translucent.
- Add flour, mix and sauté. Add chili powder and mix well. Add cream and mix. Add little water, mix and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add chicken tikka and mix well. Add some more water to adjust the consistency. Cook for a minute.
- Add chaat masala and coriander leaves, mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Press the insides of the baked puff with a spoon and fill them with the prepared chicken mixture. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
