Ingredients
- 250 grams boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- Puff pastry dough as required
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 large tomato, finely chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons grated processed cheese + for topping
- Refined flour (maida) for dusting
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and sauté till translucent. Add salt and mix.
- Add green chillies and chilli powder, mix and sauté for a minute. Add tomatoes, mix and cook till they turn soft and pulpy.
- Add chicken strips, mix and cook till fully done. Add cheese, mix and cook till it melts. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Preheat oven to 180̊ C.
- Dust the worktop with some flour, place the dough on it and roll out into a large sheet. Cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the cooked chicken in the centre of half the squares and top with some cheese. Cover with remaining squares, seal the edges and place on a baking tray.
- Brush the puffs with beaten eggs, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
