Ingredients list for Chicken Lollypop

  • 14-16 Chicken lollypops
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoons Crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Red chilli paste
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/2 cup Cornflour/ corn starch
  • for garnishing Spring onion greens Chopped

Method

  1. Combine chicken lollypops, ginger-garlic paste, salt, ½ teaspoon crushed peppercorns and soy sauce in a bowl and mix well. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Combine ginger, garlic, red chilli paste, refined flour, cornflour, salt and remaining crushed peppercorns in another bowl and mix well. Add little water and mix well till a thick batter is formed.
  4. Dip marinated lollypops in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Garnish with chopped spring onion greens and serve hot.
