Ingredients
- 200 grams chicken mince
- 4 white bread slices
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- ½ tablespoon garlic, chopped
- ½ tablespoon ginger chopped
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of white pepper powder
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon onion chopped
- 2 eggs whisked
- Sesame seeds for sprinkling
Method
- Put the chicken mince in a blender jar and grind to a fine paste. Transfer into a bowl. Add cornflour, garlic, ginger, salt, white pepper powder, green chillies, dark soy sauce and egg white, and mix well. Add onion and mix well.
- Cut the bread slices into 8 roundels with a medium-sized round cookie cutter. Break an egg in another bowl and whisk well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai
- Brush all the bread roundels on one side with the egg and place some chicken mixture over them. Brush some more egg over the chicken mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Slide in these coins, chicken side downwards, into hot oil and deep-fry turning sides till both sides are evenly golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them on a serving platter, sprinkle some spring onion slices and serve hot with Schezwan sauce.
