Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 16-20 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Cheese Melts Recipe

  • Boneless chicken boiled, shredded 250 grams

  • Cheese spread ¼ cup

  • Mozzarella cheese grated as required

  • Spring onion greens chopped, 2 tablespoon + for garnish

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon + to sprinkle

  • Salt to taste

  • White bread slices 8

  • Butter For topping

  • Garlic chopped as required

  • Garlic flavoured olive oil to sprinkle


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Take chicken in a bowl. Add cheese spread, 2 tablespoons spring onion greens, crushed peppercorns, 1 teaspoon chili flakes and salt and mix well.

Step 3

Cut bread slices into roundels with a medium sized cookie cutter.

Step 4

Spread some butter and some garlic on each roundel. Place them on a baking tray.

Step 5

Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Put some chicken mixture on each baked roundel and top with some cheese.

Step 7

Place the tray back in the preheated oven and bake till the cheese melts.

Step 8

Drizzle some garlic oil and sprinkle some chili flakes on top and serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
