Ingredients list for Cheesy Crispy Pita-SK Khazana
- 4 Pita breads
- as required Processed cheese grated
- 4 tablespoons Tomato seeded and finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons Green capsicum finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Green chillies finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons Fresh parsley finely chopped
- as required Butter
- Dip
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons Hung yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley finely chopped
- for garnish Fresh parsley sprigqq
Method
- Mix together tomato, capsicum, salt, green chilli and parsley in a bowl.
- To prepare one sandwich, heat a non-stick tawa and grease it with some butter. Place one pita bread and roast on low heat from one side till golden brown and crisp.
- Spread the vegetable mixture generously and top with 2 tablespoons cheese, cover with another pita bread and press gently. Flip the sandwich when the underside turns golden brown and crisp. Cook till the other side turns golden brown and crisp too. Transfer the sandwich on the worktop and cut into wedges. Make another sandwich similarly.
- To prepare the dip, mix together mayonnaise and hung yogurt in a bowl. Add chilli flakes and parsley and mix well.
- Place the sandwich on a serving platter. Put the dip in a serving bowl and garnish with a parsley sprig and serve hot.
