Cheese Stuffed Chicken Burger Chicken mince burgers stuffed with cheese cubes and served with whole wheat burger buns. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken, Processed cheese Cuisine American Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Cheese Stuffed Chicken Burger 500 grams Chicken mince 4 Processed cheese cubes 4 Whole wheat burger buns 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped to taste Salt to taste Peppercorns crushed 5-6 Thyme sprigs 1 Egg for shallow frying Oil 1 tablespoon + ½ cup Mayonnaise 2 teaspoons Mustard paste 2 medium Onions cut into roundels and rings separated 15-16 Iceberg lettuce leaves 2 medium Tomatoes cut into roundels 2 for garnishing Pickled gherkins Method Put chicken mince, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, crushed peppercorns, thyme and egg into a bowl. Mix well and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Divide chicken mince mixture into 4 equal portions and stuff each portion with 1 processed cheese cube and shape it into a patty. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Place patties on it and shallow-fry, turning side, till evenly golden form both sides. Slit burger buns horizontally into halves. Heat a non-stick tawa. Place burger buns on it, reduce heat and toast till crisp. Put mayonnaise, mustard paste, crushed peppercorns in another bowl and mix well. Set aside. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add onion rings till they caramelize and turn golden. Place a toasted burger bun base on a worktop. Spread a teaspoon of mayonnaise mixture and place 1-2 torn lettuce leaves on top. Put 2-3 tomato roundels on top, sprinkle salt, crushed peppercorns and place a patty on top. Finally top with some caramelized onions. Assemble the remaining burgers in a similar way. Put 5-6 lettuce leaves and leftover mayonnaise mixture in a bowl and mix gently. Place this lettuce salad on a serving plate. Cover the burgers with the top halves, press lightly and place them along the salad with gherkins.
