Ingredients
- 250 grams runner beans (chavli), cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons scraped fresh coconut
- 1 tablespoon oil
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- 2-3 green chillies
- 1 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Slit green chillies and add, mix and sauté. Add beans and mix well.
- Add 2 tablespoons water, mix well, cover and cook till the beans are almost done.
- Put coconut, onion, little water and pepper powder in a grinder jar and grind into a coarse paste.
- Add salt and ground paste to the pan, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
