Ingredients list for Chane aur Dhania ki Tikki

  • 1 cup Sprouted Bengal Gram
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • for shallow frying Oil

Method

  1. Grind the sprouts, with a little water, in a grinder jar to a slightly coarse paste. Transfer into a bowl.
  2. Add salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, garam masala powder and coriander leaves and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
  4. Add breadcrumbs to the gram mixture and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis.
  5. Shallow-fry the tikkis, a few at a time, in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot.
