Ingredients list for Chakli Sticks-SK Khazana
- 2 cups Rice
- 1/2 cup Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- for greasi to deep fry Oil
Method
- Dry roast rice and black gram separately. Remove from heat, cool and grind together to a fine powder. Transfer into a mixing bowl.
- Add chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and butter and knead well. Add ½ cup water and knead to a soft dough.
- Grease a chakli press with some oil and fill in the dough.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Press in chakli strips directly into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and cool.
- Serve or store in airtight container.
