And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Batatyachi Chutney Recipe

  • Baby potatoes peeled 15

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Green garlic pods with greens 12

  • Dried red chillies 6

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Blend together baby potatoes, onion, green garlic and red chillies to a coarse paste.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds and sauté till they change colour.

Step 3

Add the ground potato mixture and salt and cook on low heat till the potatoes are fully done.

Step 4

Serve with hot bhakri.
