Batata Hara A Lebanese preparation – this tangy potato dish cooked with Lebanese spice mix and tomato ketchup makes a superb side dish. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Nov 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Batata Hara Main Ingredients Baby potatoes, Lebanese spice Cuisine Lebanese Course Accompaniments Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 300 grams baby potatoes, halved with skin and soaked for ½ hour 1 tablespoon Lebanese spice powder 1 teaspoon paprika powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon black pepper powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder Salt to taste 2 tablespoons oil 2 tablespoons crushed garlic 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup 1 teaspoon sumac powder 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves Method Drain potatoes and put in a bowl. Add paprika powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, Lebanese spice powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well. Set aside. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté till well-browned. Add potatoes, mix well, cover and cook on low heat for 2 minutes. Sprinkle little water, mix well, cover and cook till half done. Add tomato ketchup, mix well, sprinkle some more water, mix again, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add sumac powder, coriander leaves and mix well. Switch off heat.
