Ingredients list for Banana Coconut Fritters
- 4 Ripe bananas peeled and cut into long pieces
- 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 cup Cornflour/ corn starch
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
- a pinch Soda bicarbonate
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 2 tablespo for deep-frying Oil
- 1/2 cup Dried coconut ( khopra) grated
- 1 tablespoon Icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
Method
- Mixtogether refined flour, cornflour, powdered sugar, soda bicarbonate, green cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and little water to make a thick batter.
- Add 2 tbsps oil and dried coconut and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the bananas in maida batter and slide them in hot oil.
- Deep fry, on medium heat, till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Transfer onto a serving plate. Sprinkle icing sugar and cocoa powder and serve hot.
