Ingredients list for Baked Soya Roll
- 450 grams Soya Nuggets
- 2 tablespoons Refined Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 medium Onions chopped
- 1 cup Green peas boiled
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Curry powder
- 2-3 Green chillies chopped
- 1 inch piece Ginger chopped
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Cashewnuts broken
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups Refined flour (maida)
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 Egg whisked
Method
- Boil soya wadi and then mince them. Heat ghee, add cumin seeds, onions and sauté till lightly coloured. Add soya mince and sauté till the onions turn transparent.
- Add boiled green peas, garam masala powder, curry powder and mix. Add green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, salt, cashewnuts and mix. Add red chilli powder, take off the heat and let it cool.
- Add lemon juice and mix. Make a dough with refined flour, salt, oil and water. Roll into an oval shape and cut the edges to make it look like a fish. Preheat an oven to 180 ° C Place the soya filling in the centre.
- Cut slits on both sides and fold over the filling. Grease a baking dish and place this fish in it. Give an egg wash to the soya fish with the whisked egg. Bake in the preheated oven at 180° C for twenty to twenty five minutes.
- Serve hot.
