By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Apple, Fresh breadcrumbs Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Apple Torte With Breadcrumbs 4 large Apple cored and cut into wedges 3 cup Fresh breadcrumbs 1 teaspoon Oil 1 teaspoon Lemon rind 1/2 cup White wine 2 tablespoon Sugar 4 tablespoon Butter 1/2 cup Powdered sugar 1/4 cup Milk 15-20 Almonds crushed Method Preheat the oven to 180°C. Heat the oil in a non stick pan. Add the apples and sauté for two minutes. Add the lemon rind and white wine and mix. Add the sugar and cook till the apples are soft. Place one and a half cups of fresh breadcrumbs in a bowl. Add two tablespoons butter and quarter cup powdered sugar and mix. Add the milk and mix to make a dough. Grease an ovenproof pie dish and spread this mixture evenly and as thinly as possible. Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake till the pie turns a light brown. Take the remaining breadcrumbs in a bowl, add the remaining butter and the remaining powdered sugar and mix. Add most of the almonds and mix. Remove the pie case from the oven and spread the apple mixture evenly. Top it with the breadcrumb mixture so that the apples are completely covered. Spread the remaining almonds over the top and keep the pie dish in the oven once again. Reduce the temperature to 170°C and bake for ten to fifteen minutes. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
