Ingredients list for Apple Sheera

  • 1 Medium apple peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup Dry roasted semolina
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 cups Milk
  • a large pi Saffron
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 10-12 Pistachios blanched and slivered
  • a few to garnish Apple slices

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick bottom pan, add semolina and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add apple, mix and saute for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add salt and mix well. Add milk and mix. Add saffron, mix, cover the pan and cook till all the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Add sugar and cardamom powder, mix well, cover and cook till for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Transfer the sheera into a serving bowl, garnish with apple slices and pistachio slivers and serve warm.
