Ingredients list for Tarkari Halwa

  • 1 cup Yellow pumpkin grated
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 10 Raisins
  • 10 Cashewnuts
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat one tablespoon of ghee in a pan and sauté raisins and cashewnuts lightly. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan, add the grated pumpkin and cook for a while to remove the moisture. Add sugar, mix and cook for till the pumpkin gets cooked. Add remaining ghee, green cardamom powder, fried raisins and cashewnuts and mix.
  3. Stir and serve hot.
