Ingredients list for Strawberry Kheer - SK Khazana

  • 9-10 Strawberries washed
  • Sugar ½ cup + 2 tablespoons
  • 5 cups Milk
  • 1/4 cup Rice soaked for 15-20 minutes and drained
  • a pinch Green cardamom powder
  • for garnish Strawberries sliced
  • for garnish Pistachios slivers

Method

  1. Hull the strawberries and roughly chop them.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan, add strawberries and 2 tbsps sugar, mix and cook till the strawberries are pulpy. Take the pan off the heat.
  3. Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan and let it come to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add rice, mix well and cook till the rice is completely cooked.
  5. Add ½ cup sugar, mix well and cook on low heat, stirring continuously, for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Add green cardamom powder and mix well. Switch off the heat, add the strawberry compote and mix well.
  7. Transfer into individual serving bowl, garnish with strawberry slices and pistachio slivers and serve.
