Ingredients for Shrikhand Wadi Recipe

  • Hung yogurt 2 cups

  • Sugar

  • Sugar 3 cups

  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Saffron (kesar) optional a few strands

  • Mixed nuts 1/4 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Pistachios blanched and slivered 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Mix hung yogurt and sugar well in a pan. Cook on medium heat stirring continuously.

Step 2

Cook for fifteen to twenty minutes or till it becomes thick and leaves the sides of the pan. Add nutmeg powder, saffron, nuts and green cardamom powder and mix. Grease a tray.

Step 3

Transfer the cooked yogurt mixture onto the greased tray and pat to smoothen the top. Cool and allow to set.

Step 4

Cut into desired shapes, garnish with pistachios and serve.
