Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Sesame Chicken Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts cut into pieces 400 grams

  • White sesame seeds 1 tablespoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Sweet red chilli sauce 4 tablespoons

  • Refined flour 2 teaspoons

  • Egg 1/2

  • Ginger 1 inch

  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Cornstarch slurry 2 teaspoons

  • Honey 2 teaspoons

  • Vinegar 1/4 teaspoon

  • Crushed red chillies 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Dry roast sesame seeds till the seeds start popping. Remove from heat and cool.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 3

Take chicken pieces in a bowl. Add 2 tbsps chilli sauce, refined flour and egg and mix well.

Step 4

Put chicken pieces in the pan, one by one, so that they don’t stick to each other and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Grate ginger in the pan, add 2 tbsps water and toss to mix.

Step 6

Add remaining chilli sauce and soy sauce, mix well and cook till done.

Step 7

Add cornstarch slurry and mix well. Add honey and toss to mix.

Step 8

Add vinegar and mix well. Add crushed red chillies and salt and mix well.

Step 9

Place cooked chicken on a serving platter, sprinkle roasted sesame seeds on top and serve hot.
