Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Sausage Pizza Recipe

  • Chicken Sausages

  • Refined Flour 2 cups

  • Salt 1 1/4 teaspoon

  • Fresh yeast 5 grams

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • FOR SAUCE

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic chopped 4 cloves

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Tomato concasse 2 cups

  • Tomato puree 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Dry oregano a pinch

  • Basil leaves 4-5

  • FOR TOPPING

  • Spicy chicken sausages 4-5

  • Onion 2 medium

  • Mozzarella cheese grated 1 cup

  • Red chillies crushed 1 teaspoon

  • Basil leaves a few

  • Olive oil 8 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Sift refined flour with salt and make a well in the centre. Dissolve yeast in 1 tbsp lukewarm water along with sugar and pour into the well. Add ¾ cup chilled water and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside at room temperature till it doubles in size. For the sauce, heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté. Chop onion and add. Sauté till soft. Add tomato concasse, tomato puree, salt, sugar, oregano and mix.

Step 2

Tear a few fresh basil leaves and add. Let it cook till it reaches a sauce consistency. Drizzle 1 tbsp olive oil and knock back the dough lightly, divide into 4 equal portions and set aside for about 20 minutes in a warm place. For topping slice onions and crush lightly.

Step 3

Slice sausages diagonally. Heat a non-stick pan. Spread one portion of the dough on a work top to make a round of the pan size. Put it in the pan. Spread some of the sauce all over. Spread the sausages, onions, mozzarella cheese and sprinkle crushed red chillies and basil leaves.
