Ingredients list for Sandwich Pakoda
- 4 medium Potatoes
- to taste Gram Flour
- 1/2 cup Mint chutney
- 2 cups Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- a pinch Soda bicarbonate
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Slice the potatoes with skin on a slicer. Transfer into a bowl with water. Add salt and set aside.
- Whisk gram flour, turmeric powder, soda bicarbonate, salt and sufficient water in another bowl to make a thick and smooth batter.
- Remove the potato slices from the water. Wipe dry and apply mint chutney on one side of half the slices. Cover each with another slice.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the sandwiched pakodas in the gram flour batter and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with green chutney.
