Ingredients list for Saeb Ki Burfi

  • 4 Apples grated
  • 1/2 Khoya
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 6-8 Almonds chopped
  • 6-8 Cashewnuts chopped
  • 6-8 Pistachios chopped
  • 1 cup Apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 cup Mawa (khoya) grated

Method

  1. Grate apples with the skin and add lemon juice to it. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan.
  2. Drain water from the grated apples, add them to the pan and sauté on a high heat till fragrant.
  3. Grease a tray with ghee. Sprinkle the chopped almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios on it.
  4. Add apple juice, sugar to the pan and mix well. When the sugar dissolves and mixture thickens, add mawa and cook, stirring continuously.
  5. When the mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan, transfer the mixture onto the tray.
  6. Keep the tray in the refrigerator when the mixture cools down to room temperature. Once the burfi is set, cut into pieces and serve.
