Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Sabudana Pakoras Recipe

  • Sago 2 cups

  • Yogurt 1 cup

  • Green chillies 3-4

  • Cumin seeds 2 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to deep fry

Method

Step 1

Soak sabudana in yogurt for one hour.

Step 2

Remove stems, wash and finely chop green chillies.

Step 3

Add chopped green chillies, cumin seeds and salt to taste to the sabudana.

Step 4

Make small roundels and flatten them slightly.

Step 5

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the sabudana roundels till golden.

Step 6

Drain onto an absorbent paper. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
