Ingredients list for Potato Cheese Croquettes

  • 4 medium Potatoes boiled and grated
  • 1/2 cup Processed cheese grated
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Green chilli finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Cornflour/ corn starch
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Mix together potatoes, processed cheese, onion, green chilli, red chilli powder, salt, breadcrumbs and half the cornflour in a bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and roll into balls.
  3. Flatten the balls to form croquettes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  4. Put the remaining cornflour in a plate.
  5. Roll the croquettes in it and deep fry, on medium heat, till golden brown in colour. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
