Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Peas Crusted Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken sliced 400 grams

  • Masala peas 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • White pepper powder to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 2 teaspoons

  • Wasabi paste 1 teaspoon

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Egg 1

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 tablespoons

  • Masala chana 1/2 cup

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Breadcrumbs 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Place chicken slices in a bowl, add salt, pepper powder, chilli flakes, Wasabi paste, lemon juice, egg and refined flour and mix well. Set aside for ten to fifteen minutes to marinate.

Step 2

Grind masala peas and masala chana to a coarse powder and transfer into a plate.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 4

Add the breadcrumbs to ground powder and mix well.

Step 5

Coat the marinated chicken slices with the ground powder evenly and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

Serve hot.
