Ingredients for Palakwale Chawal-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Fresh spinach shredded 2 cups

  • Basmati rice soaked and drained 1 1/2 cups

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 2-3

  • Spring onion bulbs finely chopped 3-4

  • Salt to taste

  • Spring onion greens sliced for garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, ginger and green chillies, mix and sauté till fragrant.

Step 2

Add spring onion bulbs and sauté till translucent. Add rice and mix.

Step 3

Add salt and mix well. Add 3 cups water, mix and bring to a boil.

Step 4

Add spinach leaves and mix well. Cover and cook till fully done.

Step 5

Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
