Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups yogurt
- 1 medium onion, peeled
- 1/2 medium cucumber, peeled
- 1/2 medium tomato
- 8-10 fresh coriander sprigs
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Black salt (kala namak) to taste
Method
- Finely chop onion, cucumber, tomato and sprigs of coriander leaves.
- Heat a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and dry toast till fragrant and lightly browned. Transfer into a mortar and pound to a coarse powder with the pestle.
- Take yogurt in a bowl and whisk it well. Add onion, cucumber, tomato, coriander leaves, ½ tsp roasted cumin powder and black salt and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with some roasted cumin powder and serve.
