Ingredients list for Lehsooni Aloo Tikki
- 6 medium Potatoes boiled and mashed
- 4-6 cloves Garlic chopped
- to taste Salt
- 6-8 Cashewnuts crushed
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Add salt to mashed potatoes and make a smooth dough. Divide into ten to twelve equal portions. Mix cashewnuts with onion, garlic, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, salt and paneer.
- Divide the mixture into ten to twelve equal portions. Stuff each portion of mashed potato with a portion of the paneer mixture. Roll and shape into tikkis of approximately two-inch diameter and half-inch thickness. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry the tikkis to a golden brown.
- Drain and place on an absorbent paper. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
