Ingredients list for Kimchi Rice- Sk Khazana

  • 1/2 cup Kimchi
  • 3 cups Basmati rice boiled
  • 3 teaspoons Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 Spring onion bulbs chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnish Spring onion greens finely chopped, 1 teaspoon +
  • 1 Egg

Method

  1. Heat 2 tsps oil in non-stick pan, add garlic and spring onions and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add rice, crushed black peppercorns, kimchi and salt and toss well. Add spring onion greens and take the pan off the heat.
  3. Heat remaining oil in another non-stick pan, add egg and cook for 2 minutes or till egg white is cooked and the yolk firm.
  4. Transfer the cooked rice into a serving bowl and place the fried egg on top. Garnish with spring onion greens and sprinkle crushed black pepper. Serve hot.
