Ingredients for Kala chana salad Recipe

  • Black Bengal gram (kala chana) boiled 1 cup

  • Green gram (sabut moong) boiled 1 cup

  • Cucumber finely chopped 1 medium

  • Radish finely chopped 1 medium

  • Tomato finely chopped 2 small

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Cabbage finely chopped 1 small

  • Spinach leaves (palak) finely chopped 3-4

  • Apple finely chopped 1

  • Banana finely chopped 1

  • Guava finely chopped 1

  • Grapes cut into small pieces 5-6

  • Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into small cubes 50 grams

  • Green peas boiled 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Amchur powder 1 tablespoon

  • Honey 1 tablespoon

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons


Step 1

In a large bowl mix together kala chana, green gram, cucumber, radish, tomatoes, onion, cabbage, spinach, apple, banana, guava, grapes, paneer and green peas.

Step 2

Add salt, amchur powder, honey and lemon juice and mix well. Serve cold.
