Ingredients list for Jackfruit seed wada

  • 1 cup Jackfruit seeds (atle)
  • 1 medium Potato boiled
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 5-6 Green chillies chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • Oil

Method

  1. Pressure the cook the jackfruit seeds with water for three whistles.
  2. Remove the cooker and release the pressure. Allow to cool and remove the skin.
  3. Grind the seeds with green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves and salt.
  4. Remove and add boiled potatoes and onions to the mixture. Make small balls and keep aside.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai. Deep fry the balls till golden brown in color.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney.
