Ingredients list for Gingerman Cookies
- 1½ teaspoon Ginger Powder
- 2 cup Refined flour (maida)
- ½ cup Butter
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 2 tablespoon Corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon Milk
- for greasing Oil
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C.
- Put butter in a bowl, add sugar and cinnamon powder and mix well with a spoon till creamy. Add dried ginger powder and mix well. Add corn syrup and mix well.
- Sieve together refined flour and soda bicarbonate into the bowl and mix well. Add milk and knead into a dough.
- Place the dough on worktop, roll out into thick disc.
- Grease a baking tray with oil.
- Place assorted shapes of cookie cutter on the disc and cut out the cookies. Place the cookies on the greased baking tray.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes.
- Arrange the cookies on a serving plate and serve warm.
