Ingredients for Fish Burger Recipe

  • Indian Salmon fillets 2

  • Burger buns 4

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Iceberg leaves 4-6

  • Pickled gherkins 4-6

  • Green olives pitted 4-6

  • Pickled jalapenos 4-6

  • Pickled onions 4-6

  • Black olives pitted 4-6

  • Mayonnaise 6-8 tables for drizzling

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Eggs 4

  • Refined flour for dusting

  • Dried breadcrumbs for coating

  • Cheese 4 slices


Step 1

Shred lettuce leaves and keep them on a plate.

Step 2

To make tartar sauce, finely chop gherkins, green olives, jalapenos, pickled onions and black olives and put all of them in a bowl. Add mayonnaise, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well.

Step 3

Halve the burger buns horizontally.

Step 4

Place the fish fillets on a plate, add salt, crushed peppercorns and garlic paste and rub it all on both sides of the fish pieces. Add lemon juice, rub in well and set aside to marinate.

Step 5

Break the eggs into another bowl and beat them well. Spread refined flour on one plate and breadcrumbs on another plate.

Step 6

Roll each fish fillet with flour and dust off excess flour, dip in beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumbs and place them on another plate. Place the plate in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

Step 7

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 8

Press the fish fillet lightly, slide into hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat, turning sides till golden brown all over.

Step 9

Heat a non-stick tawa. Place the burger bun halves on it and toast them both sides till lightly crisp. Keep them on the worktop.

Step 10

Place shredded lettuce on base half of all the buns. Top with some tartar sauce and drizzle some mayonnaise over it.

Step 11

Drain the fish on absorbent paper. Place a sheet of absorbent paper over them and press lightly so that all the excess oil is absorbed.

Step 12

Place a cheese slice on each fish piece and place them on the base halves of burger buns. Cover each with the remaining halves.

Step 13

Place the burgers on a serving platter and sprinkle some crushed peppercorns over the cheese slices. Serve immediately with French fries.
